2021 Pinot Noir “Peake Ranch Vineyard” Sta Rita Hills, Santa Barbara
We are very excited to release our first Pinot Noir since the 2018 vintage, 2021 Peake Ranch Vineyard. Since we only produced 8 barrels, we used a couple new French oak barrels to add complexity and structure. This wine was aged for 10 months and bottled at the end of the summer. The wine is stunning and very old world in style- aromas of bramble, blackberry, sage, forest floor, and hints of mushroom that lead to a broad mouthfeel with velvety dry tannins. Again, the vineyard showcases a lot of structure and minerality adding a freshness to this wine.
